Porter, Marguerite (Clemson Extension)
Mentor for: Water Quality, Water Conservation, Litter Prevention, Composting (Pickens County only)
Marguerite Porter has been an Extension Agent in Pickens County for 2 years. During which time she has helped develop and implement education and outreach programs in the area of natural resources for both youth and adults. She currently serves as the coordinator for the Pickens Countywide Stormwater Consortium, a collaborative program helping local municipalities meet federal requirements for stormwater education, outreach and involvement. She has a BS in Biology from Eckerd College and a MS in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from Clemson University. Before work as an Extension Agent Marguerite was a high school science teacher, teaching biology, environmental science and oceanography.
